y? in my day, we had to walk40 miles in the freezing cold with 2 feet of snow on the ground, and more coming down, with our 50 pound backpacks, and land mines all over the place, just to get to the bus(or in those days cattle truck) stop.

and it was "slushy snow" which is harder to shovel
